Slash Concept Art

The Final Product

Every fighting game needs it's resident bishounen and Slash fit the bill perfectly! To many girls, Slash was a hot guy who they all hoped was gay (okay, okay, so that last part was just my friend Joe's thoughts). Ironically, to men he was the shining ray of "cool" in this incredibly "gay" game (Okay, that's just your typical American guy's thoughts). Oh the irony! Any way you slice it, Slash was cool and really didn't fit in. And that's what made him great. Apparently the designers were very confident on his design as there are very few alternate designs. Also not how he wears Warner Brothers cartoon gloves. That amuses me for no good reason.

Slash the karate master kyonshi?

Yes, this was a Slash concept. Be glas it didn't make it into the game.

Why this image reminds me of Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z is beyond me. Also note the move that was cut from the game at the bottom. I like that move.

HEHEHEHE! It's Slashodee Crocket! This combo Hippy/Cowboy Slash will have me laffing for days! I actually really like this design though. I assume he was meant to wear glasses as they are shown off to the side. Either that or he fought with a whip and a pair of glasses familiar. Actually, a pair of fighting, floating glasses is rather beliveable in Waku Waku 7.

This is what you would have gotten if Galaxy Fight 2 came out instead of Waku Waku 7. I KNOW I've seen this EXACT same character design somewhere else. I think it was in an anime. Wither way, this guy's actually pretty neat looking.
